Objectives

Expand the levels of knowledge of the population, stimulate learning, civic involvement and environmental awareness for development – with special attention given to younger generations – reviving culture and local identities, and seeking to make the community school a center for dissemination of local knowledge and education.

Posts in Network

Mocoronga Network: created based on branches in rural communities, more than 250 young multiplier reporters, in partnership with schools, are trained each year in educational communication for production and distribution of newspapers, printed materials, and radio and video programs, constituting an on-going exchange of information, knowledge and expressions of local culture.

Training of Teachers: creating awareness of the situation of the student and application of techniques for more effective teaching

 

 

Young Monitors (6 to 12 years old): workshops in health, environmental education and cultural revival.

 

 

Radio Mocoronga: young reporters animate the communities with daily programming containing educational vignettes, news from the region, a range of interviews and dissemination of local musicians and artists.

 

TV Mocoronga: developing a critical reading of the media, appreciation of local expressions, and educating through the production and exhibition of videos.

 

Inter-Community Newspaper "O Mocorongo":  with a print run of 4000 copies, it is published quarterly with a range of reports and materials from local newspapers produced by youth.

 

 

Digital Inclusion: cultural tele-centers with computer classes, using computers powered by solar energy and with internet access.

 

 

Health & Happiness’ Three Rivers Olympiads: promoting the integration of youth through sports.
